Sadly none of them ever came my way.

Thanks to your tip I have just found some really excellent images of the Bournville Birmingham G&J WT and carillon installation from the local paper. The Carillon even has its own website.

Did you find my other post on a smaller G&J WT? I really need to provide a proper index to my blog.

https://waitingtrain.blogspot.com/2015/05/gillett-waiting-train-installation.html

Regards
Chris
Chris.Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13986753919505764942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3081812713339411328.post-16891817548015098852019-03-04T21:04:43.220+01:002019-03-04T21:04:43.220+01:00There is a G&J waiting train in the Bournevill...There is a G&J waiting train in the Bourneville Carillon in Birmingham. A bit odd since the dial is neither large nor high. Installed in 1934.

Thank your for your site. I am writing a book on English turret clocks and was sleuthing out waiting trains.

G&J patented a master clock in 1923. These have a swinging armature and are much quieter than Synchronome or Gent clocks.

ChrisAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03240850641554330257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3081812713339411328.post-75767238844399519412014-03-01T23:20:20.327+01:002014-03-01T23:20:20.327+01:00Hello Donald,
